This is in line with our previous observation that AA proportion in plasma/AT correlated positively with AT inflammation but negatively with the liver inflammation in subjects with obesity and the major genotype of FADS2-rs174616 (located in the same FADS cluster as rs174550 and rs174547) in the KOBS study [27]. This evidence concerns the gene FADS2 and obesity due to melanocortin 4 receptor deficiency.
