Interestingly, genes associated with PATHWAY function “ABC transporters”, K13890 gsiC; glutathione transport system permease protein and K17315 gtsA; glucose/mannose transport system substrate-binding protein, were found to be over-represented in post-op, suggesting that surgery leads to increase in bacteria that may be responsible for this function in CRC patients (Supplementary Data 3, 4 and 5). Here, ABCG2 is linked to colorectal carcinoma.
