In the double-blind phase 3 trial, FLAURA, osimertinib demonstrated significantly longer PFS and OS than the comparator regimens of gefitinib or erlotinib (median PFS: 18.9 vs. 10.2 months; HR, 0.46; P < 0.0001; median OS: 38.6 vs. 31.8 months; HR, 0.80; P = 0.0460) [17, 18], resulting that osimertinib has become a leading treatment for patients with EGFR-mutant NSCLC [17].
