Elevated Lp-PLA2 concentration was associated with endothelial dysfunction, carotid atherosclerosis, impaired coronary flow reserve, elevated arterial stiffness and unfavorable consequence in coronary artery disease patients. These findings endorse the prognostic role of Lp-PLA2 in persistent coronary artery disease. The gene discussed is PLA2G7; the disease is coronary artery disorder.
