BMP7 and glioblastoma: González-Gómez et al. employed BMP-7-loaded microspheres in a xenograft model and demonstrated that controlled release of BMP-7 potently inhibited the growth of glioblastoma and reduced CSC markers, including CD133, Olig2, and glial fibrillary acidic protein (GFAP)δ (González-Gómez et al., 2015).
