NFKB1 and colitis: In conclusion, our data have demonstrated that treatment with ROE is effective for the prevention of DSS-induced colitis in mice through the suppression of inflammation and oxidative stress, which are mechanisms that might be involved in the inhibition of NF-κB and the activation of the Nrf2 pathway, both in a DSS-induced-UC mouse model and in LPS-stimulated RAW264.7 cells (Fig. 8).
