Importantly, behavioral test showed that specific knockdown of Acp5 in pyramidal neurons, but not in PV neurons or SST neurons, significantly alleviated depression-like behavior, including the reduced immobility time in FST (Fig. 4F), the increased center distance in OFT (Fig. 4G) and the spent time and entries in open arms in EPM test (Fig. 4H). This evidence concerns the gene ACP5 and depressive disorder.
