Combining the database information of TCGA and GTEx for analysis, we found that the mRNA levels of GNG5 were upregulated in most cancers; these include hepatocellular carcinoma, bile duct cancer, colon cancer, lung cancer, pancreatic cancer, gastric cancer, thyroid cancer, adrenocortical cancer, prostate cancer, and breast cancer. This evidence concerns the gene GNG5 and familial pancreatic carcinoma.
