When we compared FH- ApoE ɛ4- HCL+ with: (i) FH+ ApoE ɛ4+ HCL-, the second group showed statistically significantly lower vascular density in the deep vascular plexus, in the C1H10 and in the C1H11 (p < 0.05, in both cases); (ii) FH+ ApoE ɛ4+ HCL+, the second group showed statistically significantly lower vascular density in the deep vascular plexus and in the C1H4 (p < 0.05) (Table 2). The gene discussed is APOE; the disease is familial hyperaldosteronism.
