Our group have demonstrated that administration of TCDD (2,3,7,8-Tetrachlorodibenzo-ρ-dioxin), which is a ligand of the aryl hydrocarbon receptor (AHR), plus TPPU (1-(1-Propionylpiperidin-4-yl)-3-(4-(trifluoromethoxy)phenyl) urea—an inhibitor of soluble epoxide hydrolase)—reduced the growth rates of Lewis lung carcinoma (LLC)-derived tumors in ω-3 PUFAs-fed mice and inhibited their metastasis to lung and liver, but a ω-6 PUFA-rich diet produced the opposite effects. This evidence concerns the gene AHR and Carcinoma, Lewis Lung.
