The SWItch/Sucrose Non-Fermentable (SWI/SNF) chromatin remodeling complex subunit AT-rich interaction domain 1A (ARID1A) is commonly known for its tumor suppressor role and its prevalent inactivating mutations in endometriosis-associated ovarian carcinomas, but it is also mutated in non-cancerous endometriotic lesions and underexpressed in the endometrium of infertile women with endometriosis [24,26,27]. The gene discussed is ARID1A; the disease is ovarian carcinoma.
