Specifically, Song et al. showed that PLOD2 knock-down suppressed the migration and invasion of U87 and U251 GBM cells, while Xu et al. showed in the same cell lines that the depletion of PLOD2 decreased invasion in vitro and in vivo, possibly by remodeling the stiffness of the ECM and decreasing the focal adhesion plaques [19,20].
