TP53 and melanoma: Identification of the most prevalent spectrum of mutated genes also revealed previously described melanoma oncogenes (KIT, TERT, and MITF) and tumor suppressors, including CDKN2A, TP53, PTEN, and RB1, as well as recently identified driver mutations, such as RAC1, MAP2K1, PPP6C, SNX31, ARID2, and STK19 [9,10,11].
