From a search of MM patient databases, increased levels of glycolysis were presumed with augmented levels of HK2 and GPI RNA message in tumor versus normal tissue (Figure 1H); the overall survivability of the patient was also worse with augmented RNA message levels for HK2 and GPI (Figure 1I), implying increased levels of glycolysis with respect to these two enzymes having a negative prognosis on survivability.
