Taken together, all the changes we observed, namely reduction in total macrophages and MDSCs, increase in CD3+ T cells, changes in the myeloid and T cell subsets and their ratios towards an anti-tumor responsive state, indicate that the modulation of the immune response through reduction in MDSC is a major mechanism of the VEGFR3 inhibitor in restraining tumor growth. The gene discussed is FLT4; the disease is neoplasm.
