Immunostaining for CK5, CK8, CK10, and CK14 showed that mammary tumors induced by AKT1E17K had positive results for CK5 and CK14 and negative for CK8 and CK10, suggesting that tumors developed in R26AKT1E17K; MMTV-Cre mice are basal-like, as reported in Figure 2B. The gene discussed is KRT10; the disease is breast cancer.
