Yohimbine (YOH) is a sympatholytic compound that decreases the ratio between the SNS and PNS, and its administration before OGTT led to an improved glucose tolerance in both the CBS+/+ and CBS+/− mice, however, the effect was stronger in the CBS+/+ mice where the slope of the blood glucose over time was significantly decreased over the 0–30 min period (Figure 5 B–D).
