In one study, PARP14 promoted IL-4–mediated protection of B cells against apoptosis and IL-4–mediated expression of other B cell survival factors like Pim-1, 2, and Bcl2 [10], possibly explaining the overexpression of PARP14 in B cell aggressive lymphoma (BAL) [9].
