Furthermore, our findings revealed a significant correlation between damage to the heart’s architecture, oxidative stress biomarkers (SOD and MDA), and proinflammatory cytokines (IL-6 & TNF-α), implying a correlation between the pathophysiology of endotoxemia-induced cardiac injury and these parameters and confirming that Vit C can protect against LPS-induced cardiac damage in rats. Here, TNF is linked to serum lipopolysaccharide activity.
