We found a statistically significant increased proliferative index evaluated with MCM6 (Figure 1a; 88.60 +/−7.04% vs. 59.59 +/−13.52%; p < 0.001); and a lower percentage of ciliated cells (Figure 1b; 11 +/−6.4% vs. 15 +/−6%; p = 0.041) in recurrent BCC. This evidence concerns the gene MCM6 and skin basal cell carcinoma.
