Figures 3A–C clearly show that POSTN is upregulated in keloid tissues, fibroblasts, and KZ fibroblasts, which is in agreement with the results of several recent studies showing that POSTN can be used as a marker of mesenchymal fibroblasts and that this mesenchymal fibroblast subpopulation increases in keloid tissues (11). Here, POSTN is linked to keloid.
