The cardiorenal protective effect of SGLT2 inhibitors may be related to 147 KEGG signaling pathways in diabetic complications, including lipid and atherosclerosis, MAPK signaling pathway, Rap1 signaling pathway, endocrine resistance, fluid shear stress, and atherosclerosis, TNF signaling pathway, relaxin signaling pathway, neurotrophin signaling pathway, and AGEs-RAGE signaling pathway (Figure 4A). This evidence concerns the gene SLC5A2 and atherosclerosis.
