CRP and Cachexia: The initial univariate–inverse relationshipbetween exposure and survival was confounded by known parameters that are associatedwith cachexia (CRP, alkaline phosphatase, and hemoglobin)24 and important baseline characteristics (primary EGFRmutation and WHO performance status).25,26 These results are in linewith a prior osimertinib PK model study that reported an absent exposure–efficacyrelationship over the 20–240 mg dose range.10 A dose reduction of 50% would thus be safe, but should be validatedprospectively.
