EGFR and esophageal squamous cell carcinoma: EV levels of TSG101, AREG (amphiregulin), MUC1 (CA15-3), CD146 (MUC18), the alanine aminopeptidase CD13, CEA (carcinoembryonic antigen), EGFR (epidermal growth factor receptor), CD142 (coagulation factor III, tissue factor), Ny-ESO-1 (New York esophageal squamous cell carcinoma-1), EpCAM (epithelial cell adhesion molecule), and PLAP (placental alkaline phosphatase) were significantly lower in female smokers compared to female non-smokers.
