TLR4 and diabetic polyneuropathy: A cross-sectional retrospective study involving 90 patients showed that the expression of TLR4 in Diabetic polyneuropathy (DPN) patients was significantly higher than that in T2DM patients and healthy controls, and the up-regulation of TLR4 level would significantly increase the risk of DPN, which suggest that TLR4 may be a potential and sensitive diagnostic biomarker for diabetic neuropathy [8].
