Of note, most CD4+GzB+ T cells (>80%) do not express IFN-γ at day 14 post-infection (pi), the peak time-point of the T cell response, and although CD4GzB+ and CD4IFN-γ+ cells follow similar kinetics in the spleen, the absolute number of CD4+GzB+ T cells was superior to that of CD4+IFN-γ+ cells, at every time point of the infection (Figure 1F and G).
