IRAK1 plays a vital role in oncogenesis and tumor progression in multiple cancers and is shown to contribute to the progression of various cancers, including hepatocellular carcinoma (Chen et al., 2020), breast cancer (Wee et al., 2015), endometrial cancer (Wang et al., 2018), non-small cell lung cancer (Behrens et al., 2010) and melanoma (Boukerche et al., 2004; Srivastava et al., 2012). The gene discussed is IRAK1; the disease is non-small cell lung carcinoma.
