HPGDS and infection: The accumulation of glutathione-related metabolites in radicles and aerial parts of seedlings, and the higher expression of GSTs in leaves after seed treatment with fengycin, suggest that initial treatment causing an increase in ROS might act as a beneficial stimulus for plant development, and confer enhanced antioxidant capacity to mitigate an imbalance in the redox status in adult plants imposed by infection with B. cinerea.
