In steady state, WT and PD-1-deficient mice had comparable frequencies of CD11b+ myeloid cells and T cell percentage was slightly higher (S12A and S12C Fig), however in the S. japonicum infected liver, less than 5% of the liver WBCs were T cells in infected WT mice while 2-fold more T cells in frequency were present in infected PD-1-deficient mice (S12B and S12D Fig), with the T cell to myeloid cell ratio extremely distorted after infection (S12E Fig).
