LMNA and cancer: Irregular nuclear shape and nuclear blebs are associated with various laminopathies, progerias and cancers (Bell and Lammerding, 2016; Diamond et al., 1982; Goldman et al., 2004; Scaffidi and Misteli, 2006; Skinner and Johnson, 2017; Steele-Stallard et al., 2018; Sullivan et al., 1999; Webster et al., 2009; Zink et al., 2004), and altered nuclear morphology in many cancers correlates with changes in lamin expression levels (Bell and Lammerding, 2016; Dubik and Mai, 2020).
