Of individuals with a ‘mixed form’ of eczema and psoriasis, 42.5% (34/80) had an elevated total immunoglobulin E (IgE) of over 120 kU/L and females demonstrated homozygosity of the region between human leucocyte antigen B (HLA‐B) and DRB1: DRB4 (DR53). The gene discussed is IGHE; the disease is psoriasis.
