Consistent with this, a recent meta-analysis of studies investigating the molecular features of pineoblastoma identified a 3.3:1 preponderance of males to females in the poor survival PB-MYC/FOXR2 group, where the median age of diagnosis is 1.4 years.29 Notably, in our analysis sex was not associated with prognosis in the older cohort. This evidence concerns the gene MYC and pineoblastoma.
