There were plenty of clinical trials (Reck et al., 2019; Herbst et al., 2020; Patel et al., 2020) that proved the combination of ICI therapy and angiogenesis therapy can reprogram the immune microenvironment and prune cancer growth-related blood vessels (Ramjiawan et al., 2017; Yi et al., 2019; Giannone et al., 2020), which could have a synergistically better performance in prolonging overall survival, especially in patients with activating mutations of EGFR (Reck et al., 2019).
