In addition, CsA@HFn, CsA and CsA@BSA reduced the number of Iba-1 and CD16/32 co-positive cells and increased the number of Iba-1 and CD206 co-positive cells as compared with the normal saline (Fig. 6A, B), indicating that CsA@HFn, CsA and CsA@BSA reduced the number of M1 type microglia and increased the number of M2 type microglia in cerebral infarction tissue in MCAO mice.
