Many studies [58, 59] have found that XIST reduces nerve cell damage in neurodegenerative diseases, and silencing XIST [60] promotes cell degeneration.Yue et al. [61] found that in an AD model(Bilateral common carotid artery occlusion (2VO)-induced-AD model), the expression level of lncRNA XIST was significantly up-regulated in vivo and in vitro. Here, XIST is linked to Alzheimer disease.
