Maternally expressed gene 3 (MEG3, (Table 2) [93], a human homolog of the mouse maternal imprinted gene has been found to be related to the occurrence and progression of a variety of tumors [94], and is also highly expressed in nervous tissues [95], which may be involved in the process of a variety of neuro-related diseases including AD. This evidence concerns the gene MEG3 and Alzheimer disease.
