Our data indicated that siRNA- and harmine-induced DYRK1A suppression increased the level of the epithelial marker E-cadherin and reduced the level of the mesenchymal marker N-cadherin, suggesting that DYRK1A silencing can inhibit the EMT process in HCC cells (Fig. 3d and e). The gene discussed is CDH1; the disease is hepatocellular carcinoma.
