To further explore the association between 3′-UTR piSNVs and cancers, we downloaded GWAS SNPs data from GWAS Catalog database20 and CCGD-ESCC database21, and we found that there were two 3′-UTR piSNVs, rs63629260 and rs3767, overlapping with GWAS SNPs from GWAS Catalog database; rs63629260 is the 3′-UTR mutation in SPTBN1 and has association with bone mineral density, osteoporosis and fracture22; and rs3767 is the 3′-UTR mutation in ZNF664 and has relation with morphogenesis, organogenesis, adrenal cell renewal, and cancer23. Here, SPTBN1 is linked to esophageal squamous cell carcinoma.
