G3BP2 and viral infectious disease: In summary, through an in vitro assay and live SARS-CoV-2 virus infection, this study provides solid evidence that SARS-CoV-2 NP associates with G3BP1 and G3BP2 in vitro and in vivo and that NPSARS-CoV-2 could efficiently suppress G3BPs-mediated SG formation and potentiate viral infection by overcoming G3BP1-mediated antiviral innate immunity, and these findings provide insightful evidence for improving the understanding of highly contagious SARS-CoV-2.
