We found that ferroptosis-related genes, including ACSL4, ATL1, ATP5MC3, CARS1, CISD1, CS, DPP4, FANCD2, FDFT1, HSPA5, HSPB1, LPCAT3, NCOA4, NFE2L2, SLC1A5, SLC7A11, and TFRC, had distinct expression profiles in the three hypoxia-related ACC subtypes, indicating that HIF-1 signaling may contribute to dysfunction of ferroptosis in ACC. Here, SLC7A11 is linked to adrenal cortex carcinoma.
