TGFB1 and Mycobacterium infection: In this study, we found that the FBXW7 expression was increased in macrophages after infection with Mm. To confirm the result in vivo, we also found FBXW7 expression in the granulomas of lung tissues from humans and animals infected with Mtb. FBXW7 promoted anti-inflammatory cytokines including TGF-β and IL-10 and inhibited the pro-inflammatory cytokine such as TNF-α indicating that FBXW7 played a suppressive role in the host’s inflammatory responses to mycobacterium infection.
