Other than in glaucoma, TNF is also known to play a significant role in the initiation and modulation of immunity and inflammation in multiple neurodegenerative diseases, including stroke, Alzheimer’s disease (AD), Parkinson’s disease (PD), encephalopathy, meningitis, multiple sclerosis (MS), neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder (NMOSD), myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein (MOG) antibody-associated disease, neuropathy as well as myelosuppression (14, 65, 89, 90). Here, MOG is linked to multiple sclerosis.
