ALB and Hypergonadotropic hypogonadism: At presentation, patients had features of both hypogonadotropic (secondary) hypogonadism and primary hypogonadism, as previously reported in patients with TB infection, debilitating chronic diseases, and significant weight loss.4–8 The improvement in BMI with treatment in all groups in all of the clinical trials, as well as the improvement in serum albumin with treatment in all groups in NC-008 supports the debilitated states of these patients with TB infection at presentation.
