Studies have shown that higher expression of MYH9 is associated with a good prognosis in patients with head and neck squamous cell carcinomas [32]; however, a large amount of research has also revealed that MYH9 is involved in the biological process of solid tumors of the digestive tract, including gastric cancer, colorectal cancer and pancreatic cancer [33–35]. This evidence concerns the gene MYH9 and head and neck squamous cell carcinoma.
