In this study, miR-146a-5p–mediated reduction in expressions of Kruppel-like factor 4 (Klf4) and cyclin D2 were thought to inhibit IEC proliferation and worsen gut injury on sepsis, although the role of the septic IEC exosome-derived miR-146b-5p remains unknown. This evidence concerns the gene KLF4 and Sepsis.
