In addition, previous studies have shown that some aberrantly expressed lncRNAs were associated with occurrence and development of malignant tumors via regulation of glycolysis, including colorectal cancer, liver cancer, pancreatic cancer, etc. For example, LncRNA HULC directly binds to two glycolytic enzymes, LDHA, and PKM2, leading to elevated phosphorylation of these two enzymes and consequently speeding up glycolysis in liver cancer (Wang et al., 2020). Here, PKM is linked to liver cancer.
