ACLY is reported to be up-regulated in many cancer cells such as glioblastoma (Beckner et al., 2010), breast cancer (Lucenay et al., 2016; Wang et al., 2017), colorectal cancer (Zhou et al., 2013), osteosarcoma (Xin et al., 2016), prostate cancer (Xin et al., 2016), cervical cancer (Xin et al., 2016) and lung cancer (Xin et al., 2016), indicating overexpression of ACLY is a hallmark of cancer. The gene discussed is ACLY; the disease is glioblastoma.
