MAPK1 and hydrops fetalis: In addition, lncRNAs, such as MSTRG.223165/miR-21/SOX6 in wool HF development (Zhao et al., 2020), as well as lncRNA5322/miR-19b-3p/MAPK1(Cai et al., 2019) and XR_310320.3/chi-miR-144-5p/HOXC8 (Ma et al., 2019) in hair follicle stem cells (HFSCs), also act as competitive endogenous RNAs (ceRNAs) to sponge miRNA and relieve the inhibitory effects exerted by these miRNAs on target genes during the regulation of HF development.
