Consistent with the GO analysis results, which confirmed the serine/threonine kinase activity as the most significant positive correlation pathway, trametinib, a MEK inhibitor mainly used by patients with V600E mutated metastatic melanoma (Robert et al., 2012; Reuters, 2013), was identified as the most positively correlated drug, indicating strong potency in the high-risk group (Figure 6B). This evidence concerns the gene MARK2 and metastatic melanoma.
