TNFSF4 and cancer: For instance, CD200 has been shown to induce EMT in head and neck squamous carcinoma through β-catenin-mediated nuclear translocation.47 A pan-cancer analysis involving 1934 tumors demonstrated high expression of the TNFSF4 gene (also known as OX40L) in tumors with the most mesenchymal EMT scores.48 Apart from that, it was also identified that CD47-SIRPα signaling induced EMT and cancer stemness, and was linked to a poor prognosis in patients with oral squamous carcinoma.49 In addition, this study found that EMT was significantly related to poor RFS and OS in patients with early-stage LUAD.
