However, positivity for PRAME must still be interpreted with caution in tumors that are negative for other melanocytic markers, since PRAME, despite its name, is not a melanoma-specific antigen and has also shown immunoreactivity in other neoplastic entities such as non-small cell lung cancer, breast cancer, ovarian cancer and renal cell carcinoma, respectively [17].
